“The lodge presented itself as a commendably clean and comfortable space, with beds that felt genuinely restful, and a shower that offered a pleasant experience. While its garden setting promised seclusion, the practicalities of parking and the approach past a public house did raise a note on convenience, particularly for those with luggage. Nevertheless, the layout, while open-plan in part, provided necessary facilities for a short stay and the host remained responsive.”
